Dozerfleet Comics is the image and comics-managing division of Dozerfleet Productions. It is also the blanket imprint covering all major entertainment franchises in Dozerfleet that are part of one or another expanded universe. The most prominent of these is the Dozerfleet Megaverse. It is also the division that has the most direct overlap with Dozerfleet Literature.
Dozerfleet counts among its characters properties such as Ciem and Volkonir, as well as its own adaptation of Nathaniel Hawthorne's Gray Champion as a superhero. In 2015-2016, the works of Chad Patterson were added to the brand, with Adam-00 being promoted for a time also in spite minimal contribution. Dozerfleet Comics once modeled itself after publishers such as DC and Marvel, seeking to eventually develop its characters and franchises to the same cinematic level of popularity as seen in the early-to-mid 2010s - before "Wokeism" destroyed those companies. However, it has a decided Christian theology bent in contrast to the humanistic one that dominates the more well-known brands in that industry.
History
1990s
The comics division of Dozerfleet was originally known only as "The Collection" in 1994, when primitive comic strips started being drawn and kept in a briefcase in 1994. It became a more formalized digital operation in May of 2005. It was defined formally as a separate division apart from Dozerfleet Literature in January of 2007. Initially, comics and concepts for comics were the only things being created by Dozerfleet during its pre-Flamingo Entertainment era. During the Cormorant era, a shift was made into the world of literature, with less and less emphasis on art. Everything then was collectively known as "Cormorant."
2000s
The idea of the operation becoming diversified across formally-defined divisions did not begin to take hold until June of 2005. By then, familiarity by the Dozerfleet founder with the gameplay mechanics of The Sims 2 led to a desire to get back into comics, experimenting with machinima as a means. It soon became clear that due to machinima often being dependent on copyrighted games, most Dozerfleet Comics entries made without the help of paid, commissioned artists from outside would not yield feasible for-profit comics. Therefore, only the Literature division contents are scheduled to become for-profit ventures, with a few free releases there. Comics would have to be tie-in material to the literature, and most tie-ins would be released for free.
Inspired by online storytelling layouts for published Sims 2 fanfics, the DVD-Storybook Hybrid Webcomic format (DSHW) was formalized for use early on. This combined the best parts of machinomic storytelling with web-generated menu systems imitating DVD menus, creating a fancy navigation experience. DSHW would continue to be made at Dozerfleet until 2017, when the format was finally ruled impractical to produce - as well as being unable to keep up with advancements in web technology.
2010s
With 2010 came the arrival of The Sims 3, and several changes in how procedures were done as a result. Many Sims 2 machinomics that were left half-finished were canceled, including Ciem 2. This was to make way for more efficient uses of software; and for spare time to work on books that could be released for profit. Improvements in concept art for books and comics alike came with the arrival of The Sims 4 in 2014.
2020s
In 2019, Dozerfleet became serious about pursuit of the future of development for the Megaverse. The free-for-view comics would need to take precedent over some of the novels being produced on the Literature end, however. But before Blood Over Water could get remade properly, a sequel to that remake was released first in 2020: Purge-Flare: Stickin' It to Pencil. This short comic also served as a prelude to Ciem: Inferno, explaining what Chris Kennal was up to in the six-year gap between the two major stories.
In 2021, Volkonir Journals: Attempt #43 was remade as a machinomic, and set for release on the blog. A remake of the never-produced 2008 Volkonir short film as a machinomic is also pending release. The 2020s would be all about emphasis on publication.
Division name
The majority of early DSHW comic releases were created with The Sims 2, released under the Cormorant Sims Webcomics operating label. Expansion into photocomics such as Gored By Them Things and When Bikes Argue led to the shortening of the comics division of Cormorant to simply "Cormorant Webcomics," which was shortened yet again when some franchises were not published for free online; becoming simply "Cormorant Comics." Due to the change of Cormorant's name to Dozerfleet, however, the division was simply renamed "Webcomics" and later, received its current name of "Dozerfleet Comics."
Dozerfleet Megaverse
Main article: Dozerfleet Megaverse
Overlapping with the Studios and Literature divisions, Dozerfleet Comics manages numerous franchises that each take place within one or several narrative universes, some of which can be considered as compiled into a "multiverse." Unlike most companies, wherein which the multiverse's different universes may acknowledge each other, most Dozerfleet universe theory is a bit more complex, structured according to the following hierarchy:
The absolute collective of all universes that will ever be mentioned, real or fictional.
Also known by such names as Earth-G-Nada, Earth-G∅, Earth-1218 (Marvel), etc. It's the observable reality of you, the reader, made as described in Genesis 1, and ruined by the processes and for the reasons discussed in Genesis 3. All other concepts of universe are subservient to the God that made this one first and foremost; and toward human beliefs, perceptions, and distortions of said reality secondarily. Made up of four spatial dimensions (at least), of which humans have access normally to only three. The W axis contains three primary planes: Metabeautalium (commonly referred as "3rd-7th Heaven"), Physicalia (our plane of existence), and Depositalium (a literal Hell dimension, of everlasting dwelling in a living death.)
Since few have ever visited the extremes and returned to tell everyone else much about them, and fewer have been able to clearly understand (let alone accept) the revelations; this set of extreme planes (collectively referred to as "the Netherworld" or "the Beyond" depending on your religious bent) is sometimes ignored when discussing "the universe." Most often, the term "the universe" in casual discussion therefore refers only to discussion of the plane known as Physicalia: the known, observable physical universe in which Earth is present.
All collective fictional universes and parallel realities.
All comic book or manga-like universes.
All comic book, cinematic, or manga-like universes that will warrant special mention on the Dozerfleet Database, such as the world of Pine Springs, due to significance to Dozerfleet regardless of direct involvement or lack thereof.
All comic book, cinematic, or manga-like universes that are made by the Dozerfleet founder himself or a friend / associate, which may or may not feature on the blogs or the database. Works may or may not be eligible for a canon Percolation Warriors crossover. Founder-created Gigaverse works include Ride of the Three Bulldozers, The Mutt Mackley Show, The Adventurous Adventures of Redundant Man, Replox: Abstract Foundations, Q-Basic Gorillas, and Stationery Voyagers. Non-founder-produced works include Chad Patterson's The Tale of Emily Barnes and the Two Jens and Irina Anghel's adaptation The Pickle Jar.
These works all exist outside of the Abrujanian Family of Timelines.
All comic book, cinematic, or manga-like universes that are made by the Dozerfleet founder himself, and belong to the Arbrujanian family of timelines. These are the most safe for crossover events with each other, depending on each individual narrative's relationship with the Percolation Wave.

Eccentriaverse
Main article: Eccentriaverse Home dimension for what became the EccentriaCore, after that Abdygalis shard family splintered off and much of it bonded with the planet Cortascius. Tapping into the planet's core allows for the creation of Wielders, who use the EccentriaCore as a sort of substitute magic. The World of Volkonir
See also: Volkonir: The Series A special framework called the "Tapestry" has been created using this, with specialized "wizards" dubbed "Weavers" able to "weave" features into the Tapestry. Allows the Elite Knights of Cortascius to exist - from which Volkonir is descended. But beware of the Bison
See also: The Bison (story) The Eccentriaverse is also the homeworld of the Stone of Bovinil Peril, a transformed, damaged, corrupted, cursed fragment of the Abdygalis Shard that becomes responsible for creating one of the most insane, dangerous monsters in the entire Megaverse: the Bison. Don't trust the Blue Face
See also: The Blue Face Film Strips In this same timeline, Marzwhatti the Lirquinwur has become a ruthless prankster and serial killer, wanted dead on Earth and Cortascius both. His antics became the foundation for The Blue Face Film Strips, which laid the groundwork for all Eccentriaverse mythos moving forward. Marzwhatti is the fourth-oldest major Eccentriaverse character in the Dozerfleet roster, surpassed in this rank only by the Bison, Tomi Himada, and Grinodos. |
Gerosha Multiverse
The "Gerosha Multiverse" refers to all attempts ever at making what are defined as the single most ambitious project in Dozerfleet Comics: The Gerosha Chronicles. Hyper-Über-Proto Gerosha (G0)
Hyper-Über-Proto Gerosha refers to the earliest-ever attempts at a Gerosha mythos, before it was known for sure that it would be given that name. Established John Domeck as the "Gray Champion," and crudely defined adventures for him. Über-Proto Gerosha (G1)
Über-Proto Gerosha refers to the second-earliest attempt, where an incorporated J-horror-like franchise dubbed The Meshalutian Trilogy was the primary focus. However, in spite numerous efforts to move that franchise forward, only one book was ever completed: 90 Has No Secant. Proto Gerosha (G2)
Proto Gerosha was the first-ever attempt at developing the Gerosha town officially, as well as the first ever attempt at creating Stan and Shalia Flippo, and giving them an origin story. This simulation in The Sims Deluxe became the foundation bedrock for all Gerosha mythos moving forward. The Triangulum was also first attempted in this story. Test Gerosha (G3.0)
Test Gerosha was the early predecessor to Gerosha "Prime" - designed as a testing field for creating a Sims 2 neighborhood to better explore the possibilities for telling a cohesive adventure around Stan and Shalia Flippo. Gerosha "Prime" (G3.1)
Gerosha Prime is the first proper universe to release any works in a collection known as The Gerosha Chronicles. It lasted for a year, releasing The Battle for Gerosha, Ciem, and incomplete Ciem 2, and Ciem 3: Curse of the Millipede. Tied in with this last comic were short features such as Corando's "Don't Lose Hope" Music Video, Star Flops: Curse of the Medium Side, and Lo-Mun's Cooking Adventure. Despair Gerosha (G4)
"Despair" Gerosha was a short-lived 2006 effort to revamp Gerosha mythos, giving Candi a new backstory and expanding on the world that Stan and Shalia lived in. It introduced Path of the Ming-Cho, and gave Jawknee an origin story - which would later be incorporated into Sodality. Classic Gerosha (G5)
Classic Gerosha was the period from 2007-2010 of rapid expansion and incorporation of older Gerosha mythos into the greater Flippo family saga. This era not only re-did the Ciem saga its own way, but produced some spin-off shorts, and had a surprising success addition of Blood Over Water. Comprehensive Gerosha (G6)
Comprehensive Gerosha changed Ciem to make it Ciem: Vigilante Centipede. It otherwise made minimal changes to the sequels; but with an effort to convert the Ciem saga into for-profit novels. This version sought more than any previous to unite all still-canon established Gerosha continuity into a single, cohesive whole. However, it was affected adversely by events in 2012, and replaced with Cataclysmic Gerosha. That version would improve on Ciem mythos even more, while adding Anarteq mythos alongside it. Works originally slated for Comprehensive Gerosha that weren't canceled directly were instead retooled for inclusion in Cataclysmic Gerosha. Cataclysmic Gerosha (G7)
Caused as a reaction to events in 2012, Cataclysmic Gerosha became the current established literary canon for The Gerosha Chronicles. It's an alternate timeline historical fantasy series set on establishing a consistent theme: unless God is at the center, even the most powerful of superheroes will never be enough. From Lord Zeras to Dana McArthur, the near-2000-year timeline of Cataclysmic Gerosha helped define Gerosha mythos moving forward - while also taking real-world political events into account to frame its narrative further, and comment on them. Gerosha Gaming Universe (G7.2)
To allow for player choices to produce minor variations in the story, the Gerosha Gaming Universe exists as a platform for Cataclysmic Gerosha-themed video games to exist. Works set in here include Sorbet, Sodality: Battle for Metheel, and Centipede + 49. Gerosha Crossover Gaming Universe (G7.2.1)
Started with the now-defunct Percolation and Percolation: Legends in 2013 and 2014, the Gerosha Crossover Gaming Universe (a.k.a., Crossover Gerosha) was created as a means for allowing fanfic crossovers and inter-company crossovers to be possible. The basic crossovers between Extirpon and Marvel: Avengers Alliance gave way to various DeviantArt crossovers elsewhere; from the Centipede Lost in the Spiderverse series to a crossover being pitched happening between Swappernetters and Mirror's Edge: Catalyst. At one point, Adam-00's Cagegirl graphic novel was going to be part of the Gigaverse, allowing Xira to join the Percolation Warriors alongside Ciem and Cherinob. Miscellaneous
There is a possibility for other Gerosha universes to also exist. |
Branding
- Literary releases that are not part of the Megaverse are often simply given a "Dozerfleet Literature" or "Dozerfleet" logo branding.
- Megaverse-related works that are literary in nature receive a generic "Dozerfleet" logo, whereas works that are explicitly comics may receive a generic "Dozerfleet" logo or a "Dozerfleet Comics" branding logo.
- Videos are given either a generic "Dozerfleet" branding logo, or else receive the "Dozerfleet Studios" logo.
- Tie-in game add-ons may be branded with a generic "Dozerfleet" logo; but they are distributed under Dozerfleet Labs.
- Tie-in music may receive the generic "Dozerfleet" logo; but music exclusive to that end receives the Dozerfleet Records logo.

Not all Dozerfleet writings have endured in a state today where they are ready for mass sharing. Gored By Them Things may yet be able to be salvaged and republished in some form. Its sequel, Gored By Them Things 2, will likely never again see the light of day. The Blue Face Film Strips: The Sims 2 Edition was an interesting attempt in 2005 to circumvent talent sensibilities about 2003's The Blue Face Film Strips becoming popular outside its original scope. However, low quality ensured it was replaced with a Sims 4 machinima remake in 2021.
Most Gerosha Prime works, such as the original version of The Battle for Gerosha, are not immediately salvageable. The When Bikes Argue series may get revamped for nostalgic purposes, however. Star Flops: Curse of the Medium Side may get this treatment too. Lo-Mun's Cooking Adventure is not likely coming back; though reshoots may enable Corando's "Don't Lose Hope" Music Video to make a return.
The 2006 versions of Ciem and Path of the Ming-Cho were mostly destroyed after a PC power supply failure, and are not deemed salvageable. The 2007 version of Ciem may be reformatted for re-release. However, the future for Ciem 2 recovery for download remains uncertain, as it was never finished. Ciem 3 in that timeline was never shot at all, and is lost to the ages apart from a handful of research art sheets. A Witness from Dirbine and Pursuit of the Facts are likewise lost beyond recovery. Q-Basic Gorillas was never completed, and was later canceled. However, its beginning chapters may be reformatted for re-release, to show viewers what might have been.
